Still in upstate New York until Saturday… first and foremost is these kids who have taken a play of theirs on the road called “Insurgent Theater!” which will be at The Barn on Sunday. Touring a play is super hard, and I give them a lot of respect for taking that kind of ambition on the road.

Then, two last minutes bits of information… helping out some friends who are trying to raise awareness about the coal industry and it’s campaign to kill us all and destroy communities… and my girlfriend and I have a video that is going to be screened at The Market Hotel for the second day of the Bushwick Film Festival. I haven’t seen Ad Astra Per Aspera since they played at Todd’s Patio Parties at SXSW two years ago, and SMARTS (who apparently used to be Coconuts) I just saw for at this year’s Whartscape. Nonhorse is nemisis of my roommate Lucas, master of cassettes, and is playing with circuit-bending specialist Peter Edwards, who is responsible for this cover of Showpaper, as well as the beautiful mural in The Silent Barn’s kitchen. And, last but not least, Boogie Boarder is a project of Cyrus’, who’s runs the awesome music/zine/design thingy The Famous Class.
